Fate of the world

Have you ever let fate just take your life, and suddenly someone’s just there?

And not only that, without knowing why, it seems instantly about you they care.

It might be nothing to you until they open their mind, and you can glimpse them within.

A comment here or thoughtful remark, or just something that makes you wear a grin.

You might share a rude quip or some intelligent joke, or maybe just an idle chat.

A poem in the making it also could be, unless it’s a question about getting bench fat.

Maybe they’re confident to the rest of the world, but allow you to see their soft side.

For reasons unknown it’s kept from others, but from you there’s no reason to hide.

How they look at you might be different as well, from what maybe you were expecting.

They see something in you that you might not, but always in their eyes it’s respecting.

Caring, confident, smart, funny and witty, are some of the words they could use.

But hilarious, awesome, honest, friendly and special, are others from which they can choose.

The confidence needed to put pen to paper, might be just a simple mistake.

But if someone is told that they are special, then only positive thoughts they will take.

The world’s a big place and we are all just ants, trying to make our own way.

Imagine a world where everyone living, was afraid of things others might say.

At the end of the day the world’s a big place, but people both love and hate.

Finding someone who gives you a buzz, well, some would say that’s just fate.
